Dopo un'attesa di parecchi mesi, eccomi al secondo post! E' un periodo particolarmente frenetico, un misto di impegni e di decisioni importanti per il futuro, tanto basta per mandare la mia testa in completa confusione e per dimenticare il mio neonato blog! Ci tenevo comunque a mostrarvi i lavori che ho presentato per "That's a Mole!", un concorso internazionale di illustrazione molto bello e creativo giunto quest'anno alla sua seconda edizione.
Ai partecipanti è stato richiesto di reinterpretare il simbolo della città di Torino, la Mole Antonelliana, a partire dalla sua sagoma. Ho cercato di proporre, in primo luogo, qualcosa che fosse legato ad altre caratteristiche tipiche di Torino, come i bar storici, ed il risultato è stato questo simpatico cameriere dal perfetto senso dell'equilibrio.
After months since I wrote the first post, here's the second one! It's a very busy period for me, in which I must take important decisions for my future, so I almost forgot about my newborn blog!
Anyway I want to show you the illustrations I made for the second edition of "That's a Mole!", an international creative contest.
Participants are asked to draw interpretations of the Mole
Antonelliana, main symbol of Turin, starting from its shape. For first I tried to reinterpret something connected to other traditions of Turin, like the historical cafes, and the result is this nice waiter owner of a perfect sense of balance.
La mia seconda proposta invece, slegata dal contesto di Torino, rappresenta una delle cose che amo di più: i gatti ciccioni nullafacenti!
My second illustration, not linked to the city of Turin, represents one of the things I love most: slakers fat cats!
Le mie illustrazioni non sono state selezionate tra le 25 finaliste ma mi ha divertita molto realizzarle, e poi si può sempre tentare l'anno prossimo!
